Learn how you can help transform healthcare delivery when you participate in a meaningful and relevant clinical education with one of our partner organizations. The Henrietta Schmoll School of Health has forged partnerships with Allina Health Systems, Fairview Health Services, HealthEast Care System, HealthPartners, Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC), and North Memorial Health Care, to name a few. Additionally, we have affiliation agreements with more than 1,300 healthcare and community health organizations, including 2,600 active sites in 48 states. These organizations will help extend your education into the real world with real patients.
Students, faculty, and alumni of the Henrietta Schmoll School of Health actively serve the community and bolster human health and wellness in the same tradition as the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. Healthcare Student Immunization
As the population ages, healthcare professionals will be needed to care for our senior citizens. Through programs like the Nursing (MSN/DNP): Nurse Practitioner - Adult Gerontology, graduates will assume an advanced practice role in the provision of primary healthcare to adults of all ages. work in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, ensure continuity of services across the continuum of settings (home, long-term care, transitional care, acute care, clinic, and residential), and act as an advocate for the client in the healthcare system.
Additionally, theÌýWomen’s Health Integrative Research (WHIR) Center'sÌýKaties for Aging Research and Equity (KARE) — an integrated, multi-year research education program — supports underrepresented minority students to study, challenge, and reimagine systems to promote healthy aging and longevity for all. Through wrap-around student support, interdisciplinary education in longevity and aging, and mentored research opportunities, KARE scholars will be well prepared to be the next generation of leaders in health disparities research across the lifespan.

SMMART Clinic
The SMMART (St. Mary's Medical and Rehabilitative Therapies) Clinic is a collaboration between the St. Mary’s Health Clinics and St. SWAGÊÓƵ University, with the goal of providing exemplary care to underserved and uninsured patients by an interprofessional team of St. SWAGÊÓƵ University students, staff, and faculty.
Bear Care Health and Wellness Clinic
A St. SWAGÊÓƵ University partner staffed by an interdisciplinary team of St. Kate students, staff, and faculty, the Bear Care Health and Wellness Clinic is a free school-based health clinic that serves uninsured and underinsured children in the Minnesota’s White Bear Lake Area School District.
Center for Community Work and Learning
The Henrietta Schmoll School of Health faculty and students also partner with the University’s Center for Community Work and Learning, which facilitates meaningful community engagement through course-based work, scholarship, and student employment. Students are provided with opportunities to practice critical and creative thinking, living out St. Kate's values of social justice and leadership.
