Open to anyone with a bachelor’s degree, this online Master of Health Informatics program is for those looking to become a critical link in the healthcare environment. Start leading efforts in data analytics, data privacy and security, and population health with a program emphasizing leadership development. A capstone project gives students the opportunity to apply their new skills, including:
- Examining data compliance, ethics, privacy and security in health information systems
- Meeting the critical need to store, retrieve and analyze data in meaningful ways
- Understanding data visualization theories, principles and techniques
- Grasping new and current topics in human factors of healthcare technology
- Maximizing a healthcare organization’s time, money and resources
The MHI program is tailored for working adults as well as full-time students who wish to learn what it takes to apply informatics across clinical and public health domains. The 28-month program includes two summer sessions and prepares you to be a general health informatics professional. The program is open to students of all genders.
