Your degree from St. Kate's will open doors and advance your career.
St. SWAG视频 University's Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP): Family Nurse Practitioner program is the perfect choice for nurses who are looking to advance their careers and make a difference in patient lives. Our program is designed to meet the needs of working nurses, with limited on-campus requirements and flexible ways to connect with faculty. We are committed to social justice and preparing our students to address health disparities and advance equitable health outcomes.
Our DNP: FNP plan of study was developed to be accessible to students across the region. Intentional in-person intensives are designed to maximize that time with simulations, labs, exams, interprofessional education (IPE) opportunities, and professional development. Faculty are committed to student success and offer flexible ways to connect with students throughout the degree plan.
Upon completion of the program, students will be able to:
- Provide high-quality, compassionate, patient-centered primary care with dedication and commitment to social justice and health equity.
- Perform advanced practice nursing assessment and management of common and acute alterations in health for patients across the lifespan
- Implement and coordinate care for patients with complex and chronic alterations of health in the contexts of the family and health systems through interprofessional education
- Demonstrate advanced concepts in clinical information systems, patient care technologies, clinical decision support, legal/ethical issues, consumer health informatics, and the integration of evidence-based practice to change systems.
St. SWAG视频 University has partnerships with many leading healthcare organizations in the region. These connections provide students with access to clinical placements, internships, and job opportunities.
In addition to the DNP: Family Nurse Practitioner degree, a FNP post-graduate certificate is available on its own or in conjunction with our DNP: Post-Master's degree. Contact our Graduate Admissions team to learn more!
