Social Work Program at St. SWAGÊÓƵ University College for Adults

Promote social justice and improve communities with a degree in social work.

Prepare for a Career in Social Work with a Flexible and Convenient Education for Busy, Working Adults

St. Kate's Social Work program is a comprehensive and innovative program that prepares students for a career in social justice. The program focuses on practice and research, giving students the skills and knowledge to make a difference in the world.

In the social work program at St. Kate’s, you’ll develop knowledge and skills in social welfare policy and advocacy; community outreach; communication and interviewing skills; case management; social work research; group work; and strengths-based, anti-racist interventions and support of individuals, families, and communities.

Our faculty are experienced and dedicated to helping you succeed. They will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to become a competent and compassionate social worker. You will also benefit from real-world work experience with 400 required field placement hours.

When you graduate from our program, you will be prepared to take the social work licensing exam and become a licensed social worker (LSW).

After completing your bachelor's of social work, you can move seamlessly into St. Kate's healthcare-focused Master of Social Work program. BSW graduates are eligible for "advanced standing" status in the MSW program, reducing the number of credits and time required to complete the MSW.

We also offer various student support services, including career counseling, internship opportunities, and financial aid.
